Yesterday, I got the chance to experience Kellogg’s NYC cereal bar. Nestled in Union Square above the AT&T store,
this cafe styled space is a cereal lovers dream. From the doorway to the stair to the main space, the walls are decorated with cereal mascots including Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam, and the Raisin Bran Sun. There are murals, painting and even mascot themed seating areas. Walk up to the second floor and get ready to experience a breakfast chill zone.

The cereal is self-serve and they have a few options for milk, including soy and organic. Grab a bowl of cereal for $1.50 or $2 with milk. You can mix different flavors like I did. I couldn’t decide between Corn Pops and Apple Jacks, so I went with both. You an also try the limited edition Unicorn cereal before they hit the grocery shelves on March 5th, if you’re feeling magical. For an additional $4, you can get unlimited toppings. It felt weird paying over $6 for a bowl of sugar so early, but it was a nice splurge on such a rainy day. Once you have your bowl with all your favorite toppings added, bring it over to the Instagram Station and snap a semi-professional picture. There are props, light boom set and even a PyeongChang 2018 Olympic medal and stuffed Soohorang toys.

After you’ve eaten your bowl of yummy goodness, grab a card or board game off the shelf and play with a friend. There are plenty of seats and tables around, and even hammocks by the window. Come early to get a seat in one to get a great view of Union Square Park. There is also a large cereal box with ski props if you want to appear on your own cover or Frosted Flakes. If you want to leave with a memento, walk over to the store stand and you can purchase Kellogg’s brand spoons, knives, aprons, socks and even a family size box of Unicorn cereal.
They are open Mondays thru Fridays from 8am to 6pm, Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Located at 31 East 17th Street between Broadway and Park Ave, right across from Union Square Park.
